Park Manor Academy of Psychology offers relatively brief psychology certificate courses. For each course successfully completed, students receive a certificate as evidence of their course completion.
We recommend students who have not had an introductory course in psychology to take our General Psychology course prior to other courses.
Our courses can lay the groundwork for further study, personal growth, and for more effectively working with people in a variety of life settings, i.e., work, personal relationships, and self fulfillment. The program also provides the added benefit of increasing your employment skills and credentials.
Each PMAP course is self-directed, meaning after you sign up for the course and pay your course fee, you can begin your studies almost immediately and work at your own pace. The only deadline is that the course must be completed within three months of payment.
PMAP courses can be valuable to many individuals. For instance, some students want to learn new knowledge and skills about psychology while others simply to stay current in the field.
Many of our students study psychology out of a deep interest in the topic and love of learning. Several other students study psychology for its many practical applications. A common question from prospective, even current, students these days is 'What can I do with this information?' A knowledge of psychology lends itself to almost any area of one's daily life: work, homelife, and relationships, to name a few. It does not usually take long for psychology students to begin applying information they learn.
There are also professional benefits to studying psychology. In most jurisdictions, our program will not qualify you to be a psychologist. That distinction usually comes with an advanced degree, such as a Ph.D. However, many professions use the knowledge and skills in psychology on a daily basis. Our courses and certificate program can lay the groundwork for further study, personal growth, and for more effectively working with people in settings such as counseling, management, education, parenting, consulting, and social services.
